The LMP Collective
Hey Friend!
Have you heard about the LMP Collective, my free educational group for equestrian photographers? I freaking love this group and just want to tell you all about it! In my mind the collective is the catalyst for all of my educational platforms. What started out in 2020 as the close friends group has grown and evolved into so much more. The annual LMP Workshops, The LMP Podcasts, The Guide to Successful Second Shooting. All of these things have come about because I now have a platform to be able to share my knowledge with the amazing members of the LMP Collective.
In the collective we focus on a different photography topic every single month. So far this year January was an overview of everything to come, February was for business, March was for social media, and April is for camera gear. I love designating a specific topic to each month because it gives us the opportunity to really sit with and unpack the topic rather than just skimming over it. Plus, our weekly schedule ensures that not a day goes by in the Collective without people having an opportunity to learn. On Mondays and Tuesday I share a tip of the day that pertains to the topic being covered that month. Wednesdays I release a LMP Podcast episode that goes into even greater detail on the focus of the week and I go live on Instagram to answer any questions. Thursdays I release a video tutorial for either Lightroom or Photoshop and since I love repurposing content these videos usually end up on Youtube as well. Fridays are one of my favorites because members of the Collective will send me their images and then I do a photo critique where I give advice on posing, composition, Lightroom editing, and/or photoshop skills for each image. On Saturdays I give out another tip of the day and on Sundays we wrap of the week with members of the Collective being able to ask any questions they might have in the Facebook group.
Now you might be thinking, “wow Lauren, that sounds like an awful lot for free.” Well you’re right. I do all of this for free because I wish I could have found an educational group like this when I was starting my career. That is why this group is so important to me. I didn’t have access to this level of education when I got into the photography world and I am a firm believer in supporting others and bringing people along with you when you have the opportunity.
A new feature that I am adding in April that I am SOOO excited about is my monthly mastermind classes. These will be one hour zoom classes with a small group of collective members once a month. Once a month we will meet and discuss a requested topic and participants will be able to ask questions live. These are basically going to be group mentoring session but at just $25 which is literally a steal! These classes are going to be a blast and I’m so excited because I love getting to see and interact with students in real time! We always learn better together and I can’t wait!
